In light of this, Platinum Packaging has introduced a new way to incentivize and motivate employees that is aptly dubbed the Bonga Point system. The management has set daily targets for the production staff based on capacity of the machines, past trends and establishment of man-hour capacities of the equipment and personnel. Meeting or surpassing the targets results in points being earned which are then converted to cash over-and-above their salaries. So far, the results have been great and the system shows great promise in sustaining motivational levels and increased efficiency.
