Boniface Watuka Ngundo has been with the company for 25 years, right from when it was Rambhai & Co. Ltd to the present day ASL Steel Division. He started off in 1987 as a casual worker in the press department until 1989, when he was taken on as a full-time employee. Boniface is a skilled press machine operator and has garnered years of experience using the Lagan press machine. He is also conversant with welding, fitting and operation of various machines.
Besides running the machines, I have also become quite knowledgeable about maintenance, and can even tell whats wrong with a machine just by the sound it makes!, he adds. Boniface enjoys working at ASL Steel Division and appreciates the fact that he has been able to enhance his skill set. He hopes to keep growing with the company.
