ASL Packaging partnered with Scion Hospital in Embakasi to host a Wellness Month where they offered their staff free medical examinations, including breast cancer screening, blood pressure testing, body mass indexing and general medical consultation.
The checkups helped employees receive counseling from the doctors, detect diseases with no apparent symptoms (secondary prevention) and identify risk factors for common chronic diseases. The Wellness Month proved to be successful as 70% of the employees attended the checkups to get free medical tests.
